ANIMUS 2012 *Natalie Maclean – Wine Reviews & Ratings
Produced by Vicente Leite de Faria, this robust Portuguese red wine sources grapes from the north-east region of Portugal in the famous Douro Valley. These are hand-selected from the Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca vines. Finishes satisfyingly long, especially for the price. Pair with meat dishes. Decant 1 hour. – Community Wine Reviews
GLORIA ALVARINHO 2012 *Natalie Maclean – Wine Reviews & Ratings
Well made and interesting with well-integrated components. Bright lemony citrus aromas. The fruit is quite bold on the palate too, riding on a wave of excellent acidity. The tangy and mouth-watering finish gets into every nook and cranny. Awesome.
GLORIA RESERVA 2011 *Natalie Maclean – Wine Reviews & Ratings
Produced by Leite de Faria, this robust Portuguese red wine is made from the Touriga Nacional grape, one of the country’s most respected indigenous grapes for dry red wine. The 2011 vintage is also a blend of Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca grapes. Blackened chary fruit from the Douro Valley in northeast Portugal. Lots of oak aging is evident.
